Can I drive my vehicle downtown?
Are there any parking facilities that are open for parking in the downtown?
The answer to both of these questions is yes. Currently, all parking facilities listed here in The Edmonton Parking Guide are open. You can park for an hour or all day depending on your needs.
We advise that before you leave your home that you check with the business of your intended destination to be aware of current business hours or temporary closures.
Why drive and park downtown?
We are living and working through a time in history that has caused more uncertainty than ever before. You may have a requirement to attend an important medical or other professional meeting located downtown. You want to get there safely and efficiently.
Transit schedules are subject to change and could add extra delays to your intended trip time. Please check the City of Edmonton COVID-19 update page for official updates on critical city services.
Driving your own vehicle can give you the certainty that you need to safely navigate to and from your meeting. Traveling in your own vehicle will help you participate and adhere to social distancing guidelines established by our trusted authorities.
Park With Social Distancing
Given the fact that many regular downtown employees are spending some of their week working remotely, this means that there is more room to park when you arrive downtown. We encourage you to continue your practice of social distancing while visiting our facilities that are open for parking.
Please leave an empty stall to adjacent to the driver side of each vehicle.
If parking is congested on a specific level, you can likely park on a lower level and find more space and end up parking closer to an elevator. The above photo shows an alternative way for two vehicles to share three spaces.

Each facility has it's own parking guide that will display the current parking rates so that you can arrive prepared with your credit card or hangTag enabled device. This will make your parking experience faster, easier and get you back home quickly.
