Shaw Conference Centre Name Change
Have you have visited Edmonton's downtown convention centre over the last twenty years? If yes, you likely still call it the Shaw Conference Centre. This has changed earlier this year to reflect a new naming identity.
Effective December 31, 2018, Economic Development Edmonton who owns and operates the centre, changed the name to the Edmonton Convention Centre.
If you are registered for a conference event, keep this in mind when traveling to the centre this year.
Remember the new name when you attend a graduation ceremony, concert or other events in the nearby area.

The Edmonton Convention Centre is located less than one block walking distance to Edmonton's Canada Place government centre.
